If you would like to use the BestNotes portal, there are a few items that we need to set it up. This document will outline these requirements.
Permissions required
To setup your BestNotes Portal, you must be the System Administrator.
Portal setup requirements
To initiate the setup, you will need to create a ticket requesting to activate the portal. This ticket will need to include the following information:
- Admissions Email: this will be the email that will receive notifications when an application is submitted.
- Company Phone: this phone number will be placed at the bottom of the application for clients to contact your organization with questions.
- Company Logo: this must be a PNG or JPG, and no larger than 725 pixels wide, and 300 pixels tall. For additional instruction, visit Resize Logo.
- Portal Name: this is the name of your portal that will be displayed at the top, just below your logo.
- Menu Color: the menu bar can be adjusted to a color that compliments your logo, or matches the style of your website.
- Website: when the client logs off the portal, they will be redirected back to the login screen by default. If you would like to have them redirected to your website, you will need to provide the link you would prefer.
- Application: If you are using a BestNotes Profile, you will automatically receive the associated application that best compliments your documentation. If you would like to add a custom application, this can be submitted to our Content Management Team for review and approval. If you are not using the profile, you will need to provide the application you would like to have added.
Additional options
There are some additional features that can be added to your portal upon request.
PDF links
The BestNotes Portal can provide a link to a document (PDF) on the same page as the application(s). These forms can't be filled out online, and must be printed and returned. This can be:
- Additional information about a program
- Recommendations
- Agreements
- Additional forms to fill out before appointment to be brought to the appointment, etc.
Tags
When importing applications, you can have a specific tag automatically assigned. By default, this tag will default to "Inquiry." To change this tag, submit a request to adjust the access tag, and include the name of the tag that you would like.
