• The Inquiry Manager will NOT pull any information into BestNotes. 
  • This is a standalone program that only keeps track of inquiries.
  • BestNotes will NOT add any new OR change existing functions to this feature.
  • Have your onsite system administrator ask BestNotes to turn this on.

User Permissions Required (contact your BestNotes System Administrator for user permissions):


The Inquiry Manager is accessed by clicking on the Admissions button in the lower left-hand corner of the Dashboard.

Click Inquiry Manager (top right)

Top Right:

  1. Filter
  2. Add inquiries manually
  3. Settings


Click the Settings button (top-right):

  • Inquiry Statuses can help users filter on the Main Menu
  • Contact Methods are available when viewing an Inquiry
  • Embed Inquiry Widget has the code to embed 2 forms (short / long) into your company's website.

 Manage Inquiries

On an inquiry, clicking View allows you to

  • Edit info and Status
  • NOTE: the Transfer button is Not Available
  • Track and remind an inquiry to finish an application (email)
  • Select a Contact Method
  • Add Notes

In BestNotes
  1. Open Reports
  2. Report Type: Inquiry Manager (NOT Inquiry Report)
  3. If an inquiry's Status is changed to Imported, this report will display conversion rates.
