If your organization utilizes an independent billing service or third-party billing company, BestNotes provides a dedicated, HIPAA-compliant connection to simplify their access. This integration automates your workflow by syncing essential data between the two platforms.


Support & Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth experience, roles are defined as follows:

  • BestNotes Role: We will establish the API connection, perform initial testing with the billing service representative,  and ensure technical stability. We provide initial workflow training for your Billing Services main point of contact.
  • Billing Services Role: Your Billing Services main point of contact will then be responsible for onboarding and providing day-to-day CollaborateMD support for individual users.


Requirements & Setup Process

A representative from the Billing Services account must initiate this connection. To proceed, please complete the following steps:

1. Billing:  The API link carries a $50 monthly fee per connection billed to the owner of the CollaborateMD account (the Billing Services account).
2. Payment Details: Ensure your primary BestNotes Billing Services account has current payment details on file before activation.

Settings > Account Details > Click "Update Payment Details" link
3. Submit Account Numbers Create a support ticket by emailing team@bestnotes.com with the CollaborateMD account number(s) for any BestNotes accounts you would like to activate.  To inactivate a connection, contact team@bestnotes.com with the account number you would like to inactivate.
4. Schedule Testing: Once we receive your request, BestNotes will reply with a scheduling link to test the API connection. Please allow 2-3 business days to activate the API connection.
