This article describes the BestNotes Admissions/Discharges custom report, which provides a monthly summary of client admissions, discharges, average length of stay, and retention rates over a specified year.

No specific BestNotes permissions are required.

Generating the Admissions/Discharges Custom Report

  1. Access the Reports Section

    Navigate to the main BestNotes menu and select the "Reports" option.

  2. Select the Admissions/Discharges Report

    From the list of available reports, locate and click on the "Admissions/Discharges" report.

  3. Choose Report Type (Optional)

    If your company utilizes locations, you may have the option to switch to the "Admission/Discharges by Location" report for location-specific data.

  4. Specify the Census Year

    Enter or select the desired census year for which you want to generate the report data.

  5. Generate the Report

    Click the "Run Report" or "Generate" button to display the report.

  6. Review Report Data

    The report will display a monthly summary including:
    • Admittance count
    • Discharged count
    • Average Length of Stay (LOS)
    • Retention Rate
    • Average Daily Census (ADC)
