How OutcomeTools is laid out, how to switch between an account view and a client, and which tabs are available at which access level.

All access levels

The app at a glance

OutcomeTools has two modes:

  • Account view — account-wide pages: Dashboard, Surveys, Clients, Library, and (for users with the right access level) Users, Reports, Export, and Settings.
  • Client view — focused on one client: their Summary, Surveys, Client Detail, Clinical, and Notes tabs. You enter client view by opening a client from the Clients list, from search, or from a dashboard card.

Account sidebar

The sidebar items and the access level each one requires:

Surveys1+ (completed only); 2+ to see the pending list

Library1+
Reports4+
Export5 only
Settings5 only

Client tabs

Once you open a client, a secondary tab bar appears for that client:

TabAccess level
Summary1+
Surveys1+
Client Detail4+
Clinical4+
Notes1+ (level 1–3 see notes only; level 4+ also see the activity log)

Additional client tabs may appear depending on which features and integrations are enabled on your account — for example, a Telehealth tab (level 2+) when telehealth is turned on, or an OQAnalyst tab when that integration is connected. These show alongside the standard tabs above.

Leaving client view

Click the back button above the client's name in the side menu. It returns you to the page you were on when you opened the client.

What you see depends on your access level

OutcomeTools has five access levels (1–5). Higher levels unlock more tabs and more actions within each tab. If a tab or button you'd expect isn't there, you may not have the required level — ask an administrator. See Access levels for the full map.
