The Reports tab is a report runner. Pick a saved report, set its parameters, and render a mix of charts, tables, and narrative over your account's data.

Level 4+

Browsing the report list

Saved reports are account-wide and grouped into two categories:

  • Clinical — outcomes, alerts, instrument-level data.
  • Administrative — caseload, completion rates, volume.

Use the search box and the category filter at the top of the list to narrow down to the report you want.

Running a report

  1. Open a report from the list.
  2. Set the parameters — the parameter bar always includes a date range, and often additional ones like program, facility, instrument, or tag depending on how the report is built.
  3. The report renders as soon as the parameters are valid. Every section (chart, table, narrative) updates together against the parameters at the top.

Report section types: charts, tables, and narrative

  • Chart — bar, line, or pie, built from a measure against a dimension (e.g. Completion Count by Month).
  • Table — a sortable data grid.
  • Narrative — a plain-text blurb with live tokens that fill in with the report's numbers.

Downloading a report as PDF

A report you've run has a PDF button in the report toolbar. It generates the report as a PDF file on the server (charts, tables, and narrative) to match what you see — every table row and every section is included, not just what fits on screen. To print, open the PDF and print it from your PDF viewer; there is no separate Print button.

What data reports cover: surveys, clients, and alerts

Reports in OutcomeTools run over three data sources:

  • Surveys — measures like Completion Count, Completion Rate, Average Score.
  • Clients — measures like Client Count, Admissions, Discharges.
  • Alerts — measures like Alert Count, Acknowledgement %, Average Ack Time.

A report only ever covers data you already have permission to see; it can't widen your access.

Building a new report

Building a report is a separate task from running one. From level 4 up you can create a report by describing it in plain language to the Lens assistant, or assemble it by hand in the report builder. Saved reports are account-wide, so a report one person builds can be run by anyone whose access level meets the report's minimum.
