Importing Application Fields to Data Forms or Med/Clinical Documents

Finding Application Field IDs

  1. In Google Chrome, navigate to the portal.
  2. Log into a test client.
  3. Open the desired application.
  4. Click in the text box or highlight the radio button.
  5. Right-click and select Inspect Element.

  1. The developer tool will open and highlight a row of text.

  1. Find the name property and enter it in an Excel spreadsheet column (A).

  1. Go back to your application and repeat this process for all the fields you want to import.

  1. Use either the Data Forms or Med/Clinical method as needed.

Data Forms Method

  1. Go to the Data Forms area under Settings.
  2. Open the form(s) where you want the data to be placed.
  3. Copy the ID number and enter it in a separate column (B) next to the name of the question it will tie to.

Med/Clinical Method

  1. Click the Med/Clinical button for any client.

  1. For radio buttons and text areas, right-click and select Inspect Element (if you don’t see this option, submit a support ticket and they will get it working for you).
  2. Look for the field property (should be a number) and enter it in a separate column (B) next to the name of the question it will tie to.

Building the Import Array and Submitting to Support

  • In the next empty column (C), use the concatenate command to build the array that the import will use to fill the data.
  • Screenshot showing the field property highlighted in developer tools for Med/Clinical.

      • =CONCATENATE(", array($",A2,", ",B2,",1)")
      • A2 references spreadsheet cell A2.
      • B2 references cell B2.
    1. This will give you a result that looks similar to this:
      • , array($S_MNAME, 11073, 1)
    2. If C2 is referencing correctly, then use the formula =CONCATENATE(", array($",A2,", ",B2,",1)") for the rest of the column C spreadsheet rows.
    3. Use the spreadsheet drag feature to complete this for you.

  • Save the spreadsheet and submit a support ticket.

    1. They will review and incorporate it into the import.
    2. Once that is done, they will notify you so that you can test the import process on a new application.
    3. You will have to enter data into each field that is being imported so we know it works completely.

Note: Table data cannot be imported at this time!
