There are three ways to receive notifications from the calendar. This includes an internal notification, "Q-Log" notification, and an email notification.
If you are logged into BestNotes, you will receive a notification in the top center of your screen at the appointment time (see Figure 1-1).

You can set up additional notifications (Q-log/Email) when logged into BestNotes:
- Navigate to "Settings."
- Select "My Account."
- Set your preferences to allow "Q-Log" and/or "Email" notifications.
If you select "Q-Log" you will receive a notification in your "Q-Log" tab (see Figure 1-2). If you select "Email" you will receive an email notification (see Figure 1-3).

When creating a "Q-Log" message, you have the option to initiate an "Email" notification to the participants listed (see Figure 1-4). This will send an email to the email address on file for the participants. This email message only lets the participant know that they have a new "Q-Log" message, and they must log in to BestNotes to view the content of the message.

Selecting tags in the "Tag Notifications" section of the "User Details" screen will send a notification of that tag being added or removed from a contact to the "For Review" tab of the dashboard for that user (see Figure 1-5 and 1-6). If the user selects "Email Tag Notifications", then they will also receive an email notification of the tag update (see Figure 1-7 and 1-8).

There are other items that you can manage regarding the"Tag Notifications" by navigating to "Settings" and "Tags." When you select the tag you would like to manage, select 'Tag Notifications (see Figure 1-9). Here is where you can require users to create a Q-Log before they are allowed to dismiss a tag notification (see Figure 1-10). You can select the providers to be notified based on which "Provider Type" they are, or based on "User Groups" (see Figure 1-11). You can also see which users will be notified when the tag is changed (see Figure 1-12).
