Account details is where you set the high-level identity of your OutcomeTools account — the information that appears in the app header, in outbound emails, and on integration records.
Where to edit account details
Account details are managed on the Settings page, on the Account Details card. The card shows the current values and an edit icon that opens the Update Account Details dialog.
Account detail fields
- Company — the account name shown on the Account Details card and in the app. It is display-only on this card and cannot be edited here — contact OutcomeTools support if you need it changed.
- Contact Name — the primary contact person for the account (required).
- Contact Phone — the primary phone number (required).
- Contact Email — the primary email address (required). This is a display address only — OutcomeTools sends email from a system no-reply address (
noreply@email.outcometools.comby default), not from this address. Replies to that address aren't read; tell respondents to contact your account email if they need a human. - Address, City, Country, State, Zip — postal address. The State field adjusts to the selected country.
- Timezone — an IANA timezone (e.g. America/Denver) that serves as the account default. Each user can override it for themselves from My Account; the account timezone is what new users start with and is what notifications and other system messages use.
- Inactivity timeout — how long a user can be idle before the app signs them out. Choose 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes (default 10). Applies to every user in the account.

Changing the account timezone
Changing the account timezone re-renders timestamps across the app. Stored data (survey completion times, notes, audit log entries, etc.) isn't altered — only how the time is displayed. Date-only values (admit/discharge dates, DOB) are stored in account-local form and don't shift.
Mostly set-and-forget. After initial setup, you'll rarely touch this. Keep the timezone stable unless the whole organization moves.
