Different settings use different language — primary care says patient, research says participant, schools say student. Terminology lets you rename the Client term across the app so it reads naturally for your team.
Where to find terminology settings
Terminology is managed on the Settings page, on the Terminology card.
Which terms you can customize
Currently, only the Client term is customizable — everywhere the app would say Client or Clients (tab labels, buttons, modal titles, chip labels, column headers, notifications), it uses the custom terms you set. No other terms can be renamed today.
Examples of common replacements: Patient / Patients, Participant / Participants, Member / Members, Student / Students, Resident / Residents.
How to rename the client term
- Open Settings.
- On the Terminology card, click the edit button.
- In the modal, enter the Singular form (e.g. Patient) and the Plural form (e.g. Patients). Each is limited to 30 characters.
- Leave both blank to fall back to the defaults (Client / Clients).
- Click Save. The change applies on the next page load for every user in the account.
